Mentorship

Navigating your teen years can be tough and for Trans\teens the road can be even harder. The Transformers Mentorship Program is a program of the Trans Teen Project that partners with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, that pairs Trans teens with Trans adults who can mentor them through the unique journey that they face. There are very few examples of healthy and vibrant Trans people in the media. The program is designed to provide young Trans people with mentors who can be a positive influence, answer the hard questions, and serve as a role model that inspires our teens to be themselves.

Healthy communities are built by empowering young people to lead vibrant, healthy and productive lives. We are proud to partner with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and bring their rich history of mentorship and their depth of expertise and understanding in creating positive matches that enrich the lives of both the mentor and the mentee. So many of us wish we had some one to talk to, someone we could ask questions, someone who could tell us that how we feel and who we are is more than just normal, it’s extraordinary. We all wish we could have had someone that would have helped us to transform.
